Dr. Mridul Sharma is a highly accomplished Senior Interventional Cardiologist with extensive expertise in complex coronary and peripheral interventions. He completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, followed by DM in Cardiology from India’s premier medical institute—AIIMS, New Delhi. With over 25 years of rich clinical experience, he has performed more than 50,000 angiographies and 7,500+ angioplasties, including high-risk and advanced procedures such as aortic dissection management, pacemaker and AICD implantation, balloon mitral valvuloplasty, and structural heart interventions like ASD, VSD, and PDA device closures.

He also holds the DrNB (Cardiology) Professor status, representing a rigorous three-year super-speciality training and academic qualification in advanced cardiology.

A pioneer in Aortic Arch Reconstruction, Carotid Angioplasty, Peripheral and Renal Angioplasty in the Saurashtra–Kutch region, Dr. Sharma has earned several prestigious international fellowships including FAPSIC, FSCAI (USA), FACC, and is notably the first and only cardiologist in the region to be awarded the esteemed FESC fellowship by the European Society of Cardiology. He has contributed to multiple national and international publications and provides expert OPD, indoor, and emergency cardiac care at Sterling Hospital, Rajkot—supported by advanced cath labs, high-end cardiac technology (FFR, IVUS, Rotablation, IVL), and a comprehensive cardiac sciences team.
