Sterling Hospitals Founded

Sterling Hospitals was founded, with a vision to deliver high-quality healthcare services to the people of Gujarat and India. The first hospital was established in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

2001

Commissioned Renal Transplant Unit

Sterling Hospitals opened a dedicated center for renal transplants, offering both live and cadaveric transplant services.

2004

Commissioned Second Hospital in Vadodara

Sterling Hospitals established its second hospital in Vadodara, Gujarat.

2008

First Corporate hospital in Gujarat to be accredited NABH

Sterling Hospitals became the first corporate hospital in Gujarat to be accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH).

2009

Commissioned Third Hospital in Rajkot

The third hospital of Sterling Hospitals was established in Rajkot, Gujarat.

2010

Commissioned Liver Transplant Unit

Sterling Hospitals opened a state-of-the-art liver transplant unit dedicated to providing advanced liver transplant services.

2011

Commissioned Secondary Care Center in Gandhidham

Sterling Hospitals opened a state-of-the-art secondary care center in Gandhidham, Gujarat.

2013

First in Gujarat to perform TAVI

The cardiology and CVTS surgery department of Sterling Hospitals became the first in Gujarat to perform a transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) procedure.

2015

Commissioned cancer care center

Sterling Hospitals established a dedicated cancer care center in Ahmedabad, offering advanced cancer treatments including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy.

2016

Medical Technology Leadership

Sterling Hospitals became the first hospital in Gujarat to perform a minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery for gynecological cancer.

2017

Commissioned Stroke Center in Ahmedabad

Sterling Hospitals established a comprehensive stroke center in Ahmedabad, providing round-the-clock care for stroke patients.

2018

Change in Leadership

Sterling Hospitals undergoes a change in ownership and management as Arpwood Partners purchase a majority stake in the company. Additionally, the hospital has appointed Dr. Simmardeep S Gill as the new MD & CEO .
