Recently on 22nd of January, 2012, Sunday, Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation has held a Grand “ Prajasattak Half Marathon 2012 ” in association with Sterling Hospital, Bhavnagar.

People from all walks of life, more than five thousands, have participated in this 5 kms Marathon happened for the first time in Bhavnagar, on the occasion of 63rd Republic Day Celebration,  150th birthday of Shree Swami Vivekanand  &  centenary Birthday Celebration of Maharaja Shri Krishnakumarsinhji.

Honourable Mayor of Bhavnagar City, Mr. Sureshbhai Dhandhliya, flag off this Marathon & encouraged the Participants to adapt the healthy lifestyle & exercise in their routine lives, in his speech addressing to the participants cum localite of Bhavnagar City.
Sterling Hospital, Bhavnagar provided their services of Medical Booths manned by Medical Officers, Nurses & Volunteers along with ICU on Wheels all along the way of Marathon. The Winners of the Marathon felicitated with the prizes & Mementoes.
